The NASRDA / GBB Skill Empowerment Initiative is committed to bridging the skill gap in Nigeria and Africa through its Digital & Vocational Skill Acquisition Program, designed to empower individuals with practical, market-ready skills for the 21st-century economy.
The Digital & Vocational Skill Acquisition Program provides a hands-on, inclusive learning experience that prepares participants to thrive in both traditional and modern workspaces.
From mastering digital tools to learning technical trades, the program empowers individuals to create income opportunities, become self-employed, and contribute meaningfully to community development.
This initiative aligns with the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
The program aims to:
Equip participants with practical digital and vocational skills relevant to today’s job market.
Reduce youth unemployment and underemployment by promoting self-reliance.

The program runs in three phases:
Training Phase:
Intensive digital or vocational skill training sessions (online and in-person).
Mentorship & Internship Phase:
Participants are paired with mentors or placed with industry partners for practical experience.
Empowerment Phase:
Qualified trainees may receive starter kits, tools, or business grants to help them launch or scale their ventures.
